At Sallie's, the widow across the street, she gave him an unneeded string of lights. Then his backdoor neighbor, Jimmy, well, he had several extra bulbs that he didn't need.
At Billy's house, down at the corner, his mother gave him a few strings of popcorn her sewing club had just made and didn't need after all.
Then his Aunt Margret came over. She had a bright, shiny star that she didn't need either. Sallie had given her a call and said that he was in need.
Looking at the tree now, Terry knew what it had needed all along..love!
