WEEK 351
The boys watching from shore ran screaming into the woods as the...

...pickup truck ploughed through the guard rails, and plunged from the bridge spanning the river. Cam, Mike and Tony, never imagined that their "harmless prank" of spreading nails all across the bridge could result in such tragedy. They just wanted to witness the drivers crossing the narrow bridge, try to avoid their devilishly planted hazards. Cameron looked back over his shoulder just before the faded red truck impacted the rock strewn, shallow water just yards from the river bank. In that instant, as his eyes found those of the helpless motorist, he heard his mother's voice screaming his name. Cameron never heard the horrible sound of his mother's truck hitting the rocks as it was drowned out by the reverberation of his own screams of horror.

The ground heaved and crashed as the monster strode over the nearby hill.

When that thing's out to lunch, Gerald reminded himself.
